Morning Ritual Wellness Smoothie with Chef Robin Goldstein

Having a healthy start to the day is important, we all know this, but sometimes actually making that happen is an entire other story! Whether it is kids rushing you out of the door in the morning, you are late for a meeting, excited to get into creative mode, or whatever you have going on that day - fitting in a healthy start can seem impossible at times. Personally, I am great at getting the coffee in my system, but nutrition in the morning, not so much.

I decided it was time to step up my morning health game and find something to make that is delicious, healthy, and wouldn't take up a ton of time. So, I reached out to inspiring chef and friend Robin Goldstein for advice. Robin is known for her love of local organic ingredients and she creates beautiful and delicious recipes at private events as well as within her cookbooks "A Taste of Ojai", "A Taste of Santa Barbara", and "Simply Delicious Wine Country Recipes". Robin lives in the stunning Ojai Valley and when she invited me over to create her amazing morning wellness smoothie, I couldn't wait! What she created is exactly what I was looking for. Her morning wellness smoothie is delicious, it is fresh, filled with nutrients, and so quick to create. And a kids love it too!

1 cup blueberries (you can also use sliced strawberries, chopped mango, papaya or pineapple)
1 cup 0% plain Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 cup baby spinach or leafy greens
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Place all ingredients in your blender, Vitamix or bullet; process until smooth.
